Trying time-after-time to beat Buechner at badminton after school before finally .... ; Actually enjoying French class w/Travers; transfixed w/ everyone watching Paul Henderson; realizing (in retrospect) how Cato`s passion for the Classics was important; sneaking across the street to the arena to play sponge/foot hockey while enjoying nectar pop ... where are you? .... My fondest memories are working as a stagehand on Westside Story and hanging out with friends.
Follow your dreams, life is too short for detours.
Mrs. Morrison
I'm happily married and have a daughter.
Great education, some wonderful friends & teachers, lots of misbehaving and still being here to talk about it! The car accident on grad night morning is the only bad memory.
Don't blame anyone but yourself for shortfalls and always stay in control - not too high and not too low when it comes to your emotions - stay even!

Any plans for a 25-year reunion for the first full 4-year graduating class?

My fondest memories of PC have to be of the people, Vicki and I discussing hockey on the school bus, partying with Vicki and Darlene, Patti W. and dancing at all the dances, concerts, Variety shows, Mr. Rathburn's butter gun in physics, Mr. Rathburn's going away party, some of the academic stuff!
All those cliches that your parents tell you about "enjoy it while you can - you're only young once" - Heaven help us, they're true! So revel in your youth and all that goes with it!
Mr. Rathburn, Mrs. Hudon, Miss Taylor
Hope to hear from some of you out there! Where are you, Patti?
Concordia University
For me it was the athletic activities, the chess club, the school paper and the friends I made....all these years ago.
Learn all you can while you can, but most of all, enjoy yourself... you're only young once.

By far - The Rogues Trial (play) has always been my fondest memory. It inspired me to direct a company wide show at the tender age of 21! Such fun.
I remember great friends, John, Vick, Gail, Sari,Linda and so many more. I wish I had stayed in touch with them! Of course, after the mass exodus from Québec in 1976 - I lost touch with them. Very few of us stayed.
My own daughther Katie is graduating this year (2009) and I want her to do what I didn't do - of course. I ended up doing my bachelor and master's degrees at night and only finished in the 90's...whatever you do - stay in school! Also, never stop learning. I have been working for many years and am always reading, getting updated for work and making sure that I am the expert in my field.
Don't give up on your passions!
Eric Bernier (for chemistry)
Miss Morrison (for biology)

My fondest memory would have to be just growing up during the times that we all did. I remember the pie fights in the cafeteria and the year of the "Streakers". Innocent pastimes compared to what you hear about now.
Stay in school forever, especially at your parents' expense. Don't ever grow up.
I'm all grown up now with 2 young children, a husband and a career. My husband tells me I could not be luckier! Do I sound like a Stepford wife?

Variety shows, dances and the winter carnivals.
Just be yourself and enjoy high school. Your really true friends will always be there for you.

I have been married to Rodney (Ron) Blommesteyn for 32 years (who also atteneded PCHS) and we have 5 childern (2 boys and 3 girls).
I would love to hear from former 1975 grads.

The variety shows, the dances, the fact that school was a safe place to go. The Pit, the plays, the railing gang, I'm sure I had a crush on almost all of the older guys at some time in my high school years...getting caught cheating in biology with J.L.

The dances, hanging out at the arena

I remember watching the Canada Soviet hockey game in class. I also remember getting to drop math half-way through grade 11 when the teacher finally acknowledged that math and I were never going to be friends.
Don't grow up too fast, enjoy being kids, the responsibilities and the worries and the taxes happen way too soon.

I remember the railing gang. And having lots of crushes on a lot of girls. Yes GIRLS!
Try not to measure yourselves against your fellow students. By this I mean, don't aim to be 'the most beautiful' or 'the smartest' in high school. This will come with time. You've got tons of time after high school to bloom to your fullest. Good luck and have fun.

Take your time to make decisions which will determine your future. Be your own person and make decisions for your own reasons, not someone else's.

I loved high school. I was a social butterfly - thought it was my job to make sure everyone was having a good time at school. The railing gang (most of the time I just watched them but occasionally joined in). The huge rocks beyond the swamps in the back of the school where we would eat lunch sometimes. Crossing over to the french side to catch my bus only to be stopped by french picket lines!! The student assemblies and hanging out in Fr. Joe's office. My children are attending PCHS now - go figure!!
Being a social butterfly is great - but when you leave high school everyone knows of you but no one really knows you - keep in touch with your past for they sometimes are your future. Make sure classmates who sign your yearbook sign their last name - otherwise years from now you'll have no idea who it is! Remember that it can up to ten years to become an overnight success!
Mr. Domani, Mr. Lopez Periera

Going to Trail's End Camp with the Father Joe and the gang, Variety Shows and The Fonzerelli's, and most especially the inside door of Dayle Duperron's locker. ;) Playing on the girl's hockey team for a year.

Spending time with friends at lunch time in the cafeteria, being part of the basketball team, ski trips.

My advice to today's students. Don't let high school (as with life) pass you by. Participate, get involved, stretch yourself and make the most of the time you spend there. It will make it easier to remember when you get to be in your 40s. I wish I had!

Hi everyone,
PCHS? How many lifetimes ago was that? It sometimes seems that my memories of high school are more like the recollection of a story I read as a youth. About a character I could relate to, yet someone different from myself.
I'd like the opportunity to connect with some of the characters of my past. I currently live in Toronto where I am a partner in an IT consulting firm. It's an interesting profession as I get to interact with lots of different people and
companies. I have a ten year old son and am active with scouting...mainly as an excuse to get him hooked on camping!
Hope everyone is happy!

Very many to chose from but greem beer at Glen Mountain, The Rogues Trial, playing guitar with a few people (esp. the Old Man) and of course a group of great friends.
School is like going on a vacation - it is always too short at the end - so embrace the experience and enjoy it while it lasts.

Graduating was one of them. I enjoyed use of the gym during lunch and the impromptu volleyball games we had. Winter Carnival 1972, 73, 74 & 75 was great. Shane Rathburn, Rocky Shea, Mike Landry and Skip Rochette, the "Greasers". "Shake Baby Shake !!!" Tossing people into the swamp. Running through the swamp during gym class.
Find out what you want to do and DO IT !!! Don't let others sway your decisions. Do what YOU want to do. Watch the alcohol consumption in University. Bad habits are hard to break. Money isn't everything, experiences are though. If a teacher appears not to like you and/or gives you a rough time, don't take it personally. They may be trying to teach you something.

Of all the great memories of P.C. without a doubt my fondest will always be West Side Story & all the wonderful folks who contributed to making it such a magical experience. The audition in particular stand out (Al and I singing - now that was a sight... er noise) After that what little my memory retains include: handball Tourni'swith Mr. Buchner, three great football seasons, hanging out with a great bunch of friends, the Grad committee and Grad Dance.
Enjoy the time you have at P.C. now, make the most of it. Before you know it, all you'll have are the memories, so now's when you get to make them great memories...

This is a hard question after 25 years..off the top of my head:
* Vicki's parents *let* her skip school to go to a Stanley Cup parade... I wanted to be in her family!
* Singing on the bus with the Girls' hockey team.
* Laughing with Gyorgyi over really silly things.
* English class (didn't we have *really* short English teachers?)
You know more than you think you know. Life is good. Enjoy it.

Seeing all the teachers in the play, “The Death and Life of Sneaky Fitch” (I hope that’s what it was called!). Becoming friends with tougher guys in shop class and having the bullies fade away (thanks, guys, you know who you are). Larry lending me his convertible Rambler to take Yola for a drive. Gary taking me for my first ride on his Honda motorcycle, took awhile, but I eventually got bikes of my own and still ride. I never liked school, but knew I had to make it to graduation, so graduating was memorable, and also why I didn’t continue furthering my education.
Everyone else covers everything rather well, so there’s not much else I could add that would be instructive.
Mademoiselle Drouin, French class. Thought she was a better looking version of Cher! There are others, but I will have to dig the yearbook out of the closet to recall names!
Glad to see this site for PCHS alumni, wish there was an easy way to connect with people from ‘75.

Well, considering it's been over 30 years since I've been back to PC, I would say that it's a toss-up between learning how to crochet a really long green scarf in grade 8 home economics, sharing a ciggy-butt with five of my closest friends outside the main entrance on a cold winter's day or the mega-mile "Walking for Christians" walkathon.
Seriously though, I do have some fond (however vague) recollections of the 1973 Winter Carnival (and going to my first semi-formal dance), travelling down to the Eastern Townships for a weekend ski/tobogganing trip (I think the Viet Nam war ended that weekend), Roberta Flack singing "Killing Me Softly", spin the bottle, and my friends Bunny (Beatrice) O'Neill, Rosemary Menezes, and a bunch of other really swell people whose names I don't recall.
P.S. I still carry my Baldwin Cartier photo I.D. bus card around.
1. Don't smoke.
2. Study every now and then.
3. Don't goof off in French class. It may come back to haunt you.
4. Write down your friends' names so that you don't forget them in 25 years.
5. Enjoy. Your high school years are just a blip on the ECG screen of your life
Teachers? There were teachers there?
