All the great friendships I made during my three years there.
Mr. Hausvauter?
Found the site recently and had a great time finding out what some of my old friends are up to 25 (yikes) years later. I moved to Nova Scotia in 1977 and finished high school there as well as post secondary. Moved out to Calgary in '82 and married a local girl in '88. We have three wonderful kids, Andre (10), Gabrielle (7), and Justin (3) Sure would be great to here from the old gang in Versailles.

I was on the French side. The imaginary white line was something else. Free periods on the French side - none on the English side. Smoking on the French side - none on the English side. It was all a bit much. Not many memories... kind of a "late 70s" haze. Loved all the sit-ins, smoke pits, both grads, hanging out with anglo buddies Eddie Tellone (where are you? I spotted you in a pic from the 15th reunion in '92!), Bernie Cloutier, Brian Styrczula (sp?), tons of franco buddies, sports with my jock friends, piercing people's ears outside. There were some really great times.
Enjoy your youth!
Skipped that class, and that one too!
I'm now living in Marietta, Georgia (just outside Atlanta), married for 6 years with a 6 year old son. Loving life, playing tennis, doing some part-time graphic design work, involved in the community, living the American Dream (it really does exist!). I'm hoping to make it to the 25th in 2002.

Gathering in the music room with teachers and friends
There are many:
Mme Leduc for ESL - I didn't speak English before her class
Mrs. Bradley - who coached us so well in Choir and in music class (we even learned to play the yukelele).
Mrs. Taylor who taught me to really appreciate the English language through her enthusiasm and who believed in me.
Mr. Keeven - who taught us how to really listen to music
Mr. McDougall - who made history interesting & fun
Mr. Bruneau - who taught us to think critically
I have been trying to reach Sylvia Keeven. Please let me know if you have any info.
Oh yeah - and I actually married this guy (Barry Edmondson - class of 76) I met in my music class and started dating then. We will be married 31 years this year with a grown-up son.

I remember almost completely burning up a desk one night before PhysEd 53. PhysEd 53 was a blast. Winter Carnival. I will miss a dear good friend who passed away in the September 1994, Rick Jackimowics. He was an usher in my wedding party. The fun times in Geography 52 while having Mr. Domani. I remember Paul Nehma placing a nude picture on the board and we all tried to get his attention, then when it was time to change classes, he finally finds out the picture on the wall. All those band trips out of the province. Mostly of all remembering those wonderful lunch hours with good friends. But the best part of it all was our graduation, where we all partied until sometime in the next day.

There are so many over my four years at PC. The Phys-Ed 53 Ski Trip in January of '77 ranks high up there. The production of West Side Story in '76 was great. There was an A/V presentation in the auditorium which showed slides set to music (I recall Desperado by the Eagles) which was great and ahead of tis time. The 30 cent draught at the PB. 5 cent cartons of milk. Hanging out in the caf. The Canada Fitness Test. Rochette giving the shoe. The Grad. The house parties the weeks after the Grad. Conrad Kavalec and I standing on each others shoulders while spray painting "Class of '77" over the back entrance on the english side (yup, it was us and thanks to those that have kept the tradition alive!) The music, (Strider Ruled!) the painter pants, the friendships, one hell of a senior football team in '77, it was all great fun.
Enjoy your high school years while they last cause they will be gone long before you have a chance to appreciate them. Respect your school because it molds you into who you can be. Stay in touch with those who are close to you now beacuse everyone goes their own way right after graduation. Keep networking with your class mates. They can be your most valuable asset.

Anything is possible when you really believe it is! Being chosen as one of Canada's top 40 under 40 awards has helped me learn how to be a better leader in my field of education!!! It was a wonderful gift and being able to spend time yearly with many people who will help shape tomorrows future is truly inspiring and gives me the tools to be a leader in Canada!

I guess my fondest memory was hanging out with my buddies Dan Rogers, René Van den Ende, Marg Gagné. I still see most of them today and we laugh about all the stupid things we did and how sometime we wish for them back. I also remember the tumbling lockers, were we pushed over the lockers and they tumbled like dominos (stupid) I also remember the girls, and the smoke pit, and tossing nickels aganist the wall. Lots of things bring back memories.

So many. One which comes to mind was during a variety show Paul Murphy came on stage wearing a pair of roller skates and a ballerina outfit. He was being pushed from one end of the stage to the other. All you would see were these arms coming out from behind the drapes shoving one way and then the other. All this while the song "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates and you have a brand new key" was playing. (Hilarious). Other memories include the soccer game we played at Lake Placid, watching Danny Doyle grow hourly, teasing Hemens in the cafeteria, the ski trip, good laughs with Paul Nehma during Louis Lecomte's Chemistry class. And did I mention the great-looking girls!
Study hard. Put a lot of thought into what you want to do. Anything is possible. But most of all HAVE FUN. These are some of the best times and best memories you will ever have. Keep in touch with your classmates as some of them will become your friends for life. Respect others and remember MODERATION.

Hi Everyone, I am really excited about our upcoming 25th anniversary. Everyone looks so grown up in the 1976 reunion. Has this aging thing really happened to us? Been living in California for 15 years with my husband (Ian Rankine of Riverdale High) and two kids Adam (7) and daughter Kendyl (2). Haven't been home in 4 years but definitely won't miss a party if we get together next year for the big 25!

High School sounds wonderful, now that we are all forty! Dances, football games, the cafeteria, Paula, Mrs. Hudon, Dennis the Menace, Meadows who use to sit behind me in almost every class, no thanks to alphabetical order. We all seemed to think that the world was going to revolve around those four short years. I see it now with our daughter Olivia who will be going into grade 9 in the fall. I tell her that she should enjoy the experience and realize that you have the rest of your life to also look forward to. It was fun!
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Friends, so many of you, as I look through the yearbook and read these blurbs, a flood of memories are yanked to the foreground! It was a great time! The gold pass being handed to me, and getting a strange look every time as if long hair was not allowed when receiving this gem! The rez, the shows and the dances! The football trip to Lake Placid. Skip calling me Arthur all the time, no matter how many times I corrected him. The music at lunch, I don't remember who organized the stereo system back then, but it was great to have it playing for us on the English side. Sitting outside on a hot day, listening to the music of the day, talking to everyone, it was definitely a good time! The late night phone calls solving physics problems with several friends, :-). So many many fond memories!
I left the West-Island (except the summers) right after school, and went to U of O. I stayed in Ottawa after a graduated. I am happily married and have three kids, all in the last six years.
Be happy! Moderation, it's easier to remember on the next day! If they still have the gold pass, work hard to get it, and use it! What a great concept.
Liked them all!
I hope we can get a reunion going. I just went to the 1976 reunion (the rez) with my older brother Gavin and met up with several friends, it was awesome. Roger my younger brother went to the 2000 reunion and had a great time as well.
My fondest memory of PC was the April Wine concert. Go figure, I am having a bit of trouble remembering anything else in 1977. Must have been all that time I spent outside trying to be Cool with the smoking gang. Boy how times have changed. I moved away in 1977 and pretty much lost touch with anyone I knew.
"The possibilities and options in life are endless. Work at having fun & have fun working and the monetary rewards will follow." Never give up believing in yourself!
This is great! I recognize so many names but can't place the faces. I sure hope we can plan a 25 Year reunion as I was not aware of the 15 Year one and would have made it for sure. I would love to hear from anyone out there who remembers Randy "The Good" & Randy "The Bad". This is like finding your missing past! Hope to hear from you soon!

My guidance councellor was someone very special. Mr. Diorio. He would always take the time and help me when I needed someone. He passed away several years ago. I will always remember him, not just as my guidance councellor, but someone who truly cared and took time out to listen. Also going to gym class, I loved gymnastics, it was great and I even got a credit for it.
Hanging out on the French side with my my best friend Ana Ruiz who is still my best friend today as well as Pamela Feres. We did have our crazy and mischievous side to us, but so did a lot of other students and teacher. It was all in fun. Well for the most parts. True friends do last a lifetime. The Good old days with my friends Ana and Pam were great and today is even better.
My brother who graduated 1 year later is now Dr. Perry Prudhomme. Through all the ups and downs we made it. It was not always easy. Don't ever give up, because no matter what happens during your high school years. Be it having someone pick on you, or ridicule you, or having problems at home. No matter what the reason their are people out there who really care and can help. The people/students who make fun of you or think their just too cool, have problems of their own. They probably have low self-esteem, lack of confidence and self worth. They might even have problems of their own, be it at home or somewhere else. So be stronger than that and remember "YOU CAN DO THIS". You will realize it once you have finished high school and know the road you want to go on. You have a voice and choices. Never be afraid to use it. It will get you through a lot and make your dreams come true. Feel free and don't be afraid to speak about your feelings and what you believe in, or what is bothering you. You have a lot to offer. You are the new "GENERATION X 2000". So start by changing things for the better. My kids are the future and so are you. What better legacy to make for yourself and your kids, then by changing society, so you yourself can have a better tomorrow. I have gone through a lot myself and have seen a lot, but I never gave up. It can get very stressful at times, but don't quit and find someone who will help and listen to you.
Don't let yourself get trapped in today's society. Don't forget that your also aloud to have fun and let loose, after all you have to have some good and crazy memories of the Good old days at PCHS. My name is Linda, but in my acting and councelling I have changed it to MeGa. If you ever need an ear, or help in whatever you need and have a problem with, I'd be more than happy to help you in anyway I can. You can reach me on my pager at 519-242-1728 or e-mail me at alfi@golden.net. I keep a pretty open mind and firmly believe in what is said here stays here. Confidentiality and anonymity is very important to me. That is a rule that I will never break.
Why? One reason is that I know how it feels to have someone you trust betray you. You are all winners! My Program is called A.D.A.Y. So have a great one. Happy Journey and Happy Trails! Bye For Now!
P.S. I am also an actress and it is not always easy, it takes hard work. But I have had some great times and fun and crazy times. So keep on schooling, because when all is said and done, you can be anybody you want to be, and loving it.
My grade 10 English teacher & guidance councellor. Also my gym teacher

There are far too many to mention but it was a great period of my life. My only regret was not applying myself more in my studies! The friends (René Van Den Ende, Dave Heathfield, Mark Gagne, Steve Common, Chris Arbique, Tom Ireland, Mike Gettel and the late Nick Fostaty, just to name a few), the hockey and football teams, the dances, the coffee houses (Golden Frog), Winter Carnival, the ski trips, the list could just go on and on! Travelling with the Senior Band when I was only 12 yrs old... It made me feel very special. Too many stupid crazy and embarrassing things to mention. I had some great times with Conrad K. in Grade 8 & 9. The skiing weekends with Tim Irwin, Shannon Wilson & Doug Williamson in Grade 11. The morning after the grad with Vaughn Bolduc and his older brother at the PB.
It is good for you to be square (a suck). I think it is even better to be innocent and square, then get totally corrupted (I actually was like this after PCHS) and then get square again. At least you'll have acquired experience and you'll know why being square is healthier and just plain smarter. Some things truly must be experienced however, for us to learn from them.
The plus side to my less-than-stellar choices earlier in life is that they have made me much stronger and independent minded. I am very much my own person.
I recommend you read 'David Copperfield' (Dickens). Especially where he talks about "My undisciplined heart", and how easily influenced by Steerforth (a bad influence) he was.
My fondest memory of P.C. are friends. I may have moved away but opening this website and opened the floodgates too many memories. I even remember people who may not remember me.
Enjoy these days. Make memories. Please study and you will go further than you can ever imagine. There's a big world out there just waiting for you.

Tina Dionne (who remains a dear friend), Jim Burke (a constant companion during 10th and 11th grade). I really just remember having fun throughout the days - meeting so many people, learning about life. I would have to disagree with some prior Grads who wrote in, that my best years have been my twenties/thirties. I love being older.
Put a lot of thinking into your own life plan. It is so important to begin to build what you want to do with yourself as you enter adulthood. This period of time can be very influential in shaping your future direction.
I'm married to a former PCHS student, Jim C. Diorio, a 1978 grad. We have 2 children, Satchel who is 5 and Selena who is 3.

One great memory was being taken out of class to attend an impromptu concert in the auditorium. Who remembers the name of the band? 1975 I think.. Anyway, I admit, I didn't like staying in class much. Especially physics. The only thing I do know today is that the gravitational rate of acceleration according to Newton's law is 9.8m per second squared. Yeah baby!
Oh - "The Greasers" with Shane Rathburn, Skip Rochette, and ????? Ski Club 1976 was also awesome, except walking from DDO to the school at 0530h on Sundays, toting skis & boots (Jungle Juice on the bus helped us warm up a little).
And, of course, Strider... It was a huge part of my teenage life, and hardly a week goes by now that I don't think about it. Still have pics, posters, tapes and a t-shirt!
Having said ALL THAT, after the '92 reunion, I changed my mind about everything. Now, I can surely say that the fondest memory I have is the camaraderie with a group of really high quality people.... So many wonderful people, and such spirit. Can't wait 'till number 25, but this time I'll go as a guest, not an organizer *%&*$^#

Trails End Camp! Putting cigarette foil in the elec. sockets on the French side, Gymnastics class upstairs in the gym. Streakers! April Wine and Lighthouse at the hockey arena. Pretending I was French to avoid the rumbles, going across the street to eat lunch and play the jukebox. Watching what's his name fry his fingers putting a weilding rod across battery terminals. Ski trips, head trips. I can count on 1 hand the times I ate in the cafeteria! The domino lockers ha! The girls! The girls! The girls! Thanks for letting me... nevermind :) Making the round silver balls from cigarette paper (still have one in my desk at work!) Making rockets with matches and cigarette paper, making those things out of cigarette paper that we would toss up to the ceiling and hope they'd stick, how about this one? Dini Lamers and Julie Labrie dancing on the side of the stage while "Cobra" the band attempted to be rock stars in the auditorium! Thank Pascal Menensez, Wayne Vieneau, Tommy Boudreau and me for that... you sucks got out of class for that! LMFAO Going back for our 15th reunion and repainting "Class of 1977" above the doors, yep it was me!
1977 was the best class then and always will be! sorry! None of us cared about those above us or those below :) Care about yourselves and you might come close. Don't pick on the sucks! You might end up one!
