Class of 1997 |
Vanier College
Playing Asshole in the caf, one hand math man, getting kicked out of Hemens's class every other day, and meeting some of the greatest friends! Too many memories....
Do well. Study hard and play harder. You learn some crucial things in high school. Some things have to do with education and some with life. Be yourself, not who others want you to be. And keep your friends....

Best mems? the entire 8th grade! Any class any day it was awesome! did nothing but giggle and get in trouble! Payette's class with Mr. Petithomme that poor man, Mrs. Gendron and her colourful swearing and, oh yes, pounding a volleyball into the head of skeletor (a.k.a Mrs. Prieur) always makes me smile. She deserved it! Other than that, the entire school was good for a laugh - a breeding ground for ill-bred psychos, which includes teachers.
1. Do NOT eat the caf food, it's poison.
2. Don't spas about grades or other students, you have more fun that way.
3. The building is a health hazard, so watch it.

A good quote for high school (or anytime) for those hard times: "...be mad, be rash, smoke and explode, sell all your clothes, but just bear in mind, there might come a time when you'll need some friends" - hold onto to the good ones guys.

Everything. From the food fights to the physical fights to the time that Debbie Bombardier and I were kicked out of Grade 10 English class because of that crazy-ass teacher, Mrs. Ferarro.
Enjoy every moment of your high school life - including the bad ones as they only make you stronger

The troublemakers...how they drove Mr. Hemens and Mr. O'Hara completely insane, started food fights in the caf, set fires in trash cans, called in bomb threats from the phone booth across the street, graffitied on lockers, and last but not least... drenched the interior of the school with the fire hose on the last day of final exams in June. Can't beat that!!! Also, the school dances and variety shows. Oh, and repainting the sign above the main entrance so that it read "Ass of '97" instead of "Class of '97"!
Have fun now, because it may be your last chance! Really, if you are reading this and are still at P.C., make the most of it. My friends and I still consider our years at P.C. to have been our best ever!

My fondest memory has to be my grad year. It was so much fun. The dances, the New York Trip... there were so many memories but nothing compares to our Grad Ball.
In all honesty Enjoy your years at high school, the good along with the bad, because even if you don't believe it, the years go by very fast.

Making out behind the lockers with Matthew Tobin. No seriously, my fondest memory would be of sitting in Mrs. Isler's class, either enjoying her fascinating lectures or passing notes to friends :)

Don't bother trying to study or work hard, marry and fornicate with someone rich. Keep daydreaming, change the world, don't let the world change you.

The food fights, Mr. O'Hara and his heart attacks, setting fire to lockers, the hose incident on the last day of classes, the New York trip. A trip I'll never forget! The people who made going to school worthwhile and fun. Our variety shows were awesome.
Live your High School days to the fullest, because once you get out, it's never the same. Take it easy and have a good time. Also, take a lot of pictures, trust me, you'll laugh a few years down the road!

The many friends that I met at P.C. Some of the teachers were unforgettable and were always up for a good challenge... which always kept life in high school interesting.
Always make the best out of everything you do... don't waste the most precious years of your life...Enjoy yourself :)..Good Luck!

Getting kicked out of Hemens' ecology classes because "I didn't like his answers", burning everything I ever cooked in home-ec., playing the wrong notes in music class to piss Madame Jean off until she put me in another room, O'Hara's nervous breakdowns (as evil as that sounds), McDougall's off the wall comments about Italians during history class, Civitella in his black stiletto heels playing with the human skeleton, Cairns and his ties cut in half, Ferrara and her "metafurrs", the variety shows, prom at DJ's, and of course the riots of '97.
Don't let the teachers scare you into thinking that CEGEP and university teachers won't give two shits about you--most of them do.

When's the reunion?
The ISS room... the Oven... Bubble Day... Mr. O'Hara's meltdown... hiding in the girls' bathroom when Mr. Zawada came to look for us at Mickey's... mixing cocktails in my locker!

Enjoy it while it lasts, it might be boring to you now but later you wish your life was always that simple.
Try to keep all the friends you made along the way, you will only realize how far apart you have drifted when it's too late.
Don't forget to have fun and party...and a little trouble never hurt anyone...right!

Sec 4 & 5 were definitely the best of high school! Just when everyone starts getting along and you start feeling comfortable, you end up graduating and going to CEGEP! ;)
Have fun but work hard!

...ass of 1997...my friends... the fact that I always stayed out of trouble! HAHAHA!!!
...you're getting old party and rave it up while you have no bills to pay and the most you have to worry about is whether you make it to school before the bell rings. Always stay true to your REAL friends. Where's all that attitude gonna get you in the future? Trust me, this I know. And if anything, trust me on this one... you might think that high school is a joke but GOOD GRADES definitely paid off.

Taking junior lunch when I was a senior, chilling at Marché Millard, going to a few classes here and there. People-watching was an incredible source of non-stop entertainment. The senior back plaza was the place to be!

Fondest memories?? Oh boy! Where do I begin? I can't believe that all of the teachers actually put up with the class of 1997's CRAZINESS! Yumming the walls, feeding the hive, painting the art room floor, drving Mrs. Lepage into a frenzy, tormenting Hemens, the amazing New York trip, Helga (always in my thoughts!), the ever-so-wonderful cafeteria food, mmmmm.... My years at PC were incredible and I will never forget all those who have made them what they are.... Thank You:)
Enjoy every moment of your high school years. Make the most of it, and have a blast! Oh yeah! You'll get used to having no windows after a while...
